Assignment #1.4 - Design for You

For this course, I will be creating a website design for a digital printing business that allows customers to get information on the available products, how to order and be updated on the latest promos, at the same time easily contact the company for other inquiries.

Below is my sketch of the home page layout. (Click for higher resolution.)
Here's a mock-up of what the home page would look like once it is up.

Assignment #1.3 - Visual Expression I

The chair I sketched is a combination of my office chair at work and my computer chair at home, with some added features.

  2. A compact and stylish pouch for both a mobile phone and portable battery charger that can help prevent being grounded or experiencing static energy when touching other objects
  3. A waterproof shoe cover when it suddenly rains and you're wearing sandals or delicate shoes
  4. A user-friendly website design for a digital printing company that allows readers to get information on the products, make inquiries and place orders
  5. A cellphone holder with a customized port for charger cables
  6. A storage system for my cabinet that would help prevent a mess when taking out one item
  7. A protector and holder for fragile headsets that can be conveniently placed in my workspace
  8. A mobile application for Coursera that can be used to view the courses, check for announcements, watch the lectures, submit assignments and interact with other students
  9. An organizer for bulky accessories and other big items on a dresser such as headbands and sunglasses
  10. A solution for avoiding smudges when using a sign pen or gel pen

Assignment #1.1 - Good Design

Almost everything can be bought online. Among my favorite purchases are movie tickets. Just by visiting a cinema's website, you can choose a movie, select the time and reserve your seats in advance. No need to worry about arriving late and running out of good seats.

While most theaters require you to present a voucher at the counter, some have a bCode Scanner outside the movie house that automatically dispenses your tickets without having to fall in line. A code will be sent to your email or your phone via SMS. Just place this on the scanner and voila, instant tickets!
